About the Role:
Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in our PICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to critically ill children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric critical care.
Requirements:
- Texas or Compact State Nursing License
- ACLS Certification
- BCLS Certification
- PALS Certification within 6 months of hire
- Associates or Bachelors of Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in PICU preferred
