Dental Instrument Specialist

Your Role:
As a Dental Sterilization Technician/Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our state-of-the-art facility and ensuring the well-being of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining dental instruments and supplies, adhering to strict sterilization and disinfection protocols, and assisting in chairside dental procedures under the guidance of our experienced Lead Dental Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and arrange instruments, procedure bins, medications, and required materials for dental procedures
- Collect, sort, and decontaminate used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Meticulously examine supplies to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization
- Sterilize, prepare, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for medical procedures
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies
- Control inventory, reorder supplies, and check expiration dates
- Efficiently break down, clean, and set up operatories to assist patient flow
- Participate in in-service training, department meetings, and clinics
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments
- Prepare patients for dental services and provide post-treatment instructions
- Use four-handed/six-handed assisting techniques as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dental sterilization and assisting (preferred)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and materials
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work culture
