Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team. As a Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing nutritional services to our patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

  1. Assess patients' nutrition status and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patients receive adequate and appropriate nutrition.
  3. Counsel patients and families on evidence-based nutrition principles and food selection.
  4. Develop and implement educational programs for patient and staff education.
  5. Interpret physicians' diet orders and initiate diet plans as prescribed.
  6. Write specific diet orders for patients to meet their nutritional needs.
  7. Participate in research projects and data collection.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Dietitian at Hackensack Meridian Health, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, meeting the dietetic didactic requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

We also prefer candidates with:

  • Acute care clinical experience.
  • Working knowledge of HealthTouch or similar electronic nutrition Kardex and EPIC.
