About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Consulting team in Houston, Texas. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and support electrical engineering in offshore/onshore oil and gas and wind/solar projects during concept, pre-FEED, with a focus on the electrical architecture of the project including offshore/onshore substations, power cables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work.
  • Participate in Electrical discipline activities including preparation and checking of documents, philosophies, specifications, procedures, standards, data sheets, calculations, MTO, etc.
  • Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in renewable energy and power systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5-10 years of experience in the electrical design of institutional buildings, industrial plants, commercial or residential, or renewable resource farms.

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in renewable power including power studies, knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI, and experience in the design of electrical engineering systems in a project team environment for electrical distribution systems including the selection of equipment (transformers, metal clad switchgear), materials, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.

The candidate should also have experience with creating construction work package designs, scheduling, and construction services, experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role, and experience in reviewing design drawings/documents created by others.

AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design experience is also required. Strong written and communication skills are essential.
