Job Summary

At Youth Villages, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Therapist to join our team. As a Family Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to youth ages 12 to 17 who are at-risk of placement out of the home due to their behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a caseload of 4-5 families and provide intensive treatment, meeting with each family at least three times per week.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each case, conducting ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress.
  • Document all sessions within a pre-established cycle time, utilizing web-based documentation and voice-recognition technology.
  • Maintain on-call availability to clients during the week, rotating on-call weekends with other counselors.
  • Drive up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, providing treatment in individual families' homes in a wide array of settings and communities.
  • Work closely with multiple types of clinical supervision, including individual and group settings led by trained and licensed MST professionals.
  • Develop strong community relationships and resources to provide families as part of treatment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a social services field is preferred, with a Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and their families, with experience in family therapy or providing MST services a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work in a non-traditional schedule.
