Position Overview

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations, streamline patient flow, and ensure effective communication within the team to coordinate care services. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about contributing to the mental health sector. The selected candidate will also receive training as a backup TMS Technician, with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather information from the medication line and relay it to nursing staff.
  • Document patient medical history, vital signs, and allergies as required.
  • Examine medical records for necessary documentation, including updates to authorization forms.
  • Process medication refill authorizations to pharmacies as instructed and complete prior authorization forms as necessary.
  • Prepare and document samples, contacting patients as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with medical records documentation standards.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or completion of an accredited one-year Medical Assistant program.
  • Prior experience in mental health and medical management.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in electronic medical records and data entry.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.
