Job Summary

This senior-level position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your professional expertise and skills in control systems engineering. You will design, review, and implement standard instrumentation and control systems, including instrument datasheets, control system logic diagrams, and piping and instrumentation drawings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Review of Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs): Add control functionality for intermediate process control systems.
  • Instrumentation and Control Valve Specification: Specify instrumentation and control valves according to industry standards.
  • Data Sheet Preparation and Checking: Prepare and check instrument and control valve data sheets and material requisitions.
  • Narrative Development: Develop and check control narratives, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Control Logic Design and Checking: Design and check digital and analog control logic, ensuring efficient system operation.
  • Functional Block Diagram Creation: Create and check functional block diagrams, facilitating effective system understanding.
  • Databases Population: Populate instrumentation, valve, and I/O databases with accurate information.
  • Tubing and Instrument Installation Design: Design and apply tubing and instrument installations according to industry best practices.
  • I/O Allocation and Layout: Allocate and layout facility control system I/O, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Coordination of Technical Issues: Coordinate technical issues with other engineering disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical) and functions (e.g., Construction, Start-up).
  • Junior Engineer Guidance: Advise and guide junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements:
  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • This role requires a facility-specific clearance, necessitating U.S. citizenship.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience are required.
Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 per year
