The Banquet Cook is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of meals in the banquet space. This role requires a strong culinary background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation: Assist in the preparation of meals for various sized banquets, ensuring high-quality and consistent presentation.
- Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service through careful execution and immaculate presentation of food and beverage.
- Inventory Management: Monitor guest consumption levels and respond accordingly, ensuring adequate supplies at all cooking stations.
- Culinary Operations: Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring the culinary readiness of the kitchen for service.
- Menu Development: Assist in developing menu items in collaboration with the Banquet Chef as needed.
- Recipe Compliance: Monitor all food production and ensure that all recipes are followed consistently.
- Cooking Efficiency: Optimize the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
- Team Collaboration: Model and promote good working relationships with Front of House managers and staff.
- Pre-Shift Meetings: Attend pre-shift meetings with service and kitchen staff to communicate menu changes and any operational challenges.
- Culinary Background: Minimum 1 year culinary background required.
- Cooking Experience: Strong cooking background and experience with large volume cooking.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects.
- Computer Skills: Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
