Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contract management, administration, and coordination for diverse projects.
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate construction engineering documentation.

- Supervise assigned personnel to ensure contractor activities align with project specifications and contractual obligations.

- Act as a liaison among Clients, Project Teams, and Contractors to resolve project-related issues.
- Manage change orders and prepare cost estimates.
- Assess and review claims for modifications in project conditions.
- Analyze and provide solutions for intricate construction and design challenges.
- Represent projects and clients during meetings and conferences.
- Review and respond to contractor communications as necessary.
- Implement site procedures to assist team members in their tasks.
- Keep clients updated on project developments and suggest potential solutions.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and special provisions.
- Monitor contractor progress against the approved schedule.
- Evaluate and review progress schedules.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
- Administer contracts and manage budgets effectively.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies as required.
- Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Possession of a California PE License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Over 10 years of experience in transportation and construction engineering projects, including roadways and bridges.
- Familiarity with bridge projects adhering to Caltrans specifications.
- Previous involvement in large-scale bridge replacement initiatives.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as MS Project and P6 is advantageous.
- Understanding of project contract fundamentals and accounting principles.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, mathematical, and accounting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
