Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. This role is responsible for site document controls, coordinating new job setups, and assisting the Commercial Accounting Manager in providing financial support. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting environment and prior accounts payable experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily work open AP invoicing.
  • Resolve vendor discrepancies, invoice issues, and other related items to keep invoices flowing.
  • Work Statements from Vendors to keep accounts current.
  • Bi-Weekly/Monthly work GR/IR issues (good receipts/invoice receipts) to avoid client billing issues.
  • Work aged payables/open PO's requesting invoices as needed from vendors.
  • Organize and prioritize daily activities to ensure deadlines meet.
  • Work with Commercial Accounting Manager/Site Superintendent/Construction Managers to resolve issues to allow for accurate setup.
  • Assist management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects and initiatives.
  • Observe and comply with all safety rules.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting environment.
  • Prior accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding Customer, Client, and employee information.
  • The ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality work in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work individually and in a team.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Day-to-day working knowledge of SAP ERP preferred.
