Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Program

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic educator to lead our Early Childhood program at Building Foundations Learning Academy, LLC.

About the Program

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive teaching program that aligns with our academy's mission and values. They will work closely with the teaching team to ensure a safe and engaging environment that promotes children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational curriculum based on research-informed practices and early learning standards
  • Lead by example, encouraging teaching team success through coaching and mentoring
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through regular updates and progress reports
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
  • Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records, forms, and files
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a team environment
  • A strong understanding of child development
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to clear full background check and pass health screening
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum. We also offer paid holidays, paid vacation, telehealth/teletherapy, AFLAC, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
