Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our Medical Cardiac Hospitalist team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to create a comprehensive plan of care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, coordinate, and implement patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of New York.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a medical cardiology unit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
