ROLE SUMMARY:
As an integral member of the Resident Care Team, you will support the Resident Care Director in managing the community. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Resident Care Associates and addressing the evolving health needs of residents, while also providing backup for resident care staffing and assisting with on-call duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position:

  • Embody and promote the mission and core values of the community and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Actively engage in enhancing community occupancy by positively interacting with potential residents and their families.
  • Assist in assessing resident needs and developing service plans in compliance with state regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the physiological and psychological changes associated with aging and disabilities.
  • Supervise daily tasks of resident care associates.
  • Evaluate resident concerns and medical issues, collaborating with the Executive Director, families, and medical professionals as necessary.
  • Foster teamwork through collaborative interactions across departments to improve service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols among resident care assistants.
  • Participate in community marketing initiatives.
  • Provide direct care to residents as needed.
  • Support resident care associates with questions and emergency situations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and coverage at all times.
  • Oversee incident and accident report completion and implement necessary changes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist the Resident Care Director with all required documentation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must maintain good physical and mental health. Requires dexterity for handling instruments and equipment. Visual and auditory acuity is essential. Ability to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., carry objects, and perform various physical tasks including pushing, pulling, walking, sitting, and standing. Must exhibit proper body mechanics and maintain a professional appearance.

STANDARDS:
These qualifications meet or exceed state-specific requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Possess the professional knowledge and skills necessary for planning within the Resident Care Department, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential. May require physical endurance for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.


Education:
A high school diploma and completion of an accredited Nursing Program.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in a geriatric setting, with prior health experience in hospital or community environments.


Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN or LPN License in the state of employment.
