Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist II is primarily responsible for inspecting products at various stages of the production process, and compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all quality control procedures are followed during the production phase.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions.
  • Adhere to Clean Room, Soldering, and Assembly workmanship standards.
  • Perform testing of components, collect and record data.
  • Prepare for and support customer source inspections as required.
  • Ship and receive test components from external vendors performing services.
  • Follow a test plan traveler and ensure compliance with all quality assurance functions.
  • Collaborate with production to improve procedures, work routes, travelers, and documentation.
  • Comply with company standards associated with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Identify errors in existing production documentation and assist quality and engineering staff to execute corrective action.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Achieve quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Past experience working for an ISO-certified manufacturing company.
Technical Competencies
  • Report writing and documentation of processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Manufacturing ERP software knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and willingness to identify faults in existing practices and suggest superior solutions to quality assurance procedures.

  • Communication: Successful communication involves five components. Verbal communication refers to the ability to speak clearly and concisely. Nonverbal communication includes the capacity to project positive body language and facial expressions. Written communication refers to the skillfulness in composing text messages, reports, and other types of documents. Visual communication involves the ability to relay information using pictures and other visual aids. Active listening should also be considered a key communication soft skill because it helps to listen to and actually hear what others say.
