Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse. This position is a critical part of our team, responsible for ensuring seamless access to behavioral health services for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on behavioral and medical needs of patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment settings.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to develop and implement efficient behavioral health throughput systems, ensuring timely access to care.
  • Work closely with the Central Access Team to identify and address placement barriers, ensuring patients receive the care they need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and stakeholders across the system, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in behavioral health, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5 years of experience in inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department, required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with data analytics and project management, preferred.
