Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

 

Job Summary:

Stellant Systems is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality products.

 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes.

• Use creativity to work with a team of experienced manufacturing and engineering professionals to determine, revise, and review economic methods, operation sequences, and tooling.

• Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, and conferring with equipment suppliers.

• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

• Engage in decision-making while analyzing new design layouts for cost reductions, maximum workflow, and efficiency.

• Develop vital assembly guides, operational manuals, and illustrations for manufacturing processes using computer-aided design and manufacturing software applications.

• Create ECNs when necessary to improve/correct documents, products, and processes.

• Support a team of industry-leading engineers and designers with valuable guidance in product operations.

• Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.

• Participate in cost studies, equipment recommendations, and make/buy decisions.

• Create positive impacts to the organization by using problem-solving skills to review in-process documentation for errors and inconsistency, improving efficiency and output.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to increase productivity and decrease costs.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• 10 years' experience required.

• Problem solver familiar with root cause analysis and project management.

• RF & microwave frequency products, subassemblies, modules, PC boards, and wire bonding experience preferred.

• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods in test, assembly, and fabrication required.

• Interpersonal communication skills using professional and courteous conduct.

• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
