About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Shop Service Writer to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a key member of our shop team, you will play a critical role in supporting the future growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create accurate and detailed vehicle repair service estimates based on compiled information from technicians and customers.
  • Professionally communicate and deliver quotes to customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advocate for customers, providing sound guidance and advice on technical inquiries and general questions related to products and services.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and prioritize workflow to ensure effectiveness.
  • Collect miscellaneous information and parts pricing from various manufacturers and vendors.
  • Review and revise existing estimates, as well as generate new estimates as required.
  • Move and park units in the shop parking lot as part of the intake process.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience, or 7 years' experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Mitchell One or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and phone) and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, emails, typing, etc.) and software navigation capabilities to generate repair estimates.
  • Previous experience working as a Diesel Mechanic is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to diagnose problems is preferred but not required.

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
