Job Summary
The Nurse Aide I supports the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, incorporating WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model. This model is built on four key concepts:

The Nurse Aide I understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, vision, values, and aspirational goals of WakeMed.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Aide I will:
- Support and incorporate the PFCC model in daily practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the Nurse Aide I must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of clinical experience in a related area (preferred).
- Nurse Aide I certification.
- Maintain vehicle operator insurability.
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
Work Schedule
The Nurse Aide I will work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
