Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Completions Lead to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of our Completions shop, ensuring that workloads are planned and scheduled to meet workflow targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Update and maintain Job Safe analyst cards on assigned equipment.
  2. Ensure all department work is completed in a timely manner and meets requirements for quality and quantity.
  3. Lead and motivate department personnel to achieve maximum technician efficiency and discipline.
  4. Assign and monitor workloads, ensuring all work is accomplished in accordance with current approved technical data.
  5. Ensure department personnel are qualified and trained to perform work assignments.
  6. Support the corporate safety, FOD, and 5S programs.
  7. Assist the team in achieving milestone dates and meeting goals through proficient hands-on work and guidance.
  8. Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed.
  9. Use design and engineering drawings to guide work.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Conduct weekly safety audits and assist team members in doing safety audits.
  2. Lead or serve on Lean and Quality Improvement teams to ensure local and corporate goals are achieved.
  3. Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs.
  4. Ensure compliance with and champion safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.
  5. Protect aircraft interiors and lead local and corporate safety initiatives.
  6. Continuously improve existing processes and procedures using Lean Manufacturing tools.
  7. Support aircraft certification and completions testing, including flight tests as required.
  8. Set standards for professionalism, communication, team building, and recognition of team members.
Requirements
  1. Be fully capable in artisan skills within the department, including plans, layouts, assemblies, and installations.
  2. Remain knowledgeable in the safe operation of all shop equipment, hand tools, and pertinent hardware.
  3. Remain proficient in all artisan skills and provide technical expertise as required.
  4. Hold an Airframe and/or Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate, if applicable.
  5. Be able to lift, carry, move, push, pull, and install 30-50 pounds unassisted.
  6. Be able to wear all required safety equipment and perform physical tasks such as walking, sitting, standing, climbing, crawling, twisting, bending, and working in confined areas.
  7. Be able to work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required to meet business needs.
  8. Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
