Role Summary

The Cielo Bartender will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of beverages to guests, ensuring a high standard of service and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, and presentation, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance guest experience by promoting and upselling beverages and food items.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of various liquors, drink recipes, and proper garnishing techniques.
  • Adhere to age verification protocols and manage service to intoxicated guests responsibly.
  • Execute cash handling processes, including discounts and tips, with accuracy.
  • Participate in mandatory team meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards all guests and team members.
  • Report any safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Maintain bar equipment in optimal condition.
  • Possess a valid CA food handler's card and Alcohol Service Certification.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Demands:

Constantly required to stand and walk on various surfaces, including carpet and tile.

Frequent bending and stooping to serve drinks and stock supplies.

Regular twisting to take orders and navigate through crowds.

Constant balancing while handling trays and beverage containers.

Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 160 lbs with assistance.

Work Environment:

Work primarily indoors within the hotel, with some outdoor exposure to weather conditions.

Potential exposure to various cleaning chemicals and food items.
