Physical Requirements

This role necessitates walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Candidates must be capable of lifting and supporting the weight of 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Proficiency in English communication is required. Candidates should possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, along with finger dexterity.

Critical thinking skills and the ability to concentrate are essential. The ability to respond promptly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions is required. Physical Abilities Testing may be mandated.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required. A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a specialized area is necessary. BLS certification is mandatory.

A valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license approved by the relevant licensing boards is required.

Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be necessary within the department as determined by the nurse leader.

Demonstrates an understanding of growth and development principles and exhibits the skills and competencies appropriate to the ages, cultures, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
