As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events at our golf clubs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and provide exceptional service to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct pre-banquet meetings with staff to review appearance and hygiene standards, assign stations, and review banquet event orders.
  • Communicate with the Banquet Manager or other assigned coordinator to ensure all details have been planned for and met.
  • Ensure changes and further instructions are made in a timely manner.
  • Verify that appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available for upcoming events.
  • Conduct random audits during functions to evaluate food and service, ensuring food is served at the correct temperature, placed properly on the table, and sufficient quantities are available.
  • Regularly review banquet schedules for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
