Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Student Enrollment Assistant to serve students and families who enroll at any New Orleans public and non-public schools participating in the unified enrollment system. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage waitlists, and support early childhood eligibility verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide students and families with informed information regarding citywide school choice, performing back-of-house support of the application process;
  • Offer exemplary customer service, responding to incoming calls and emails in a timely manner;
  • Conduct virtual appointments for families seeking enrollment assistance;
  • Maintain accurate student data using SalesForce, aligning with district standards and state and local student privacy laws;
  • Internalize and implement district guidelines on enrollment procedures and parent rights and responsibilities;
  • Determine applicant eligibility for publicly funded early childhood seats by verifying income, residency, and other legal documents;
  • Document every Early Childhood account/application to reflect current family SNAP, verification, and communication statuses;
  • Verify assigned Early Childhood applications and application documents based on team expectations and EC local, state, and federal verification categories;
  • Escalate parent and student concerns as needed to the Executive Director of Family Services;
  • Participate in occasional evenings and/or weekend enrollment events, providing support for enrollment activities throughout the year;
Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required;
  • 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
