We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our Department of Surgery team. As a key member of our trauma care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced nursing care to patients in the acute care setting, based on educational preparation and/or certification in the APN role.
- Design and evaluate individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and health status.
- Perform selected invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Coordinate care for optimal continuity of care across the healthcare continuum.
- Facilitate patient/family participation in healthcare by identifying learning needs and providing specialized education.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
- 3-5 years of previous job-related experience, with a preference for 6-10 years.
- CPR certification, current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois, and Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Illinois.
