Job Title: Commercial Truss Designer

Cascade Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Commercial Truss Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in transforming commercial construction building plans into detailed cold-formed steel truss designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret construction documents to create 3D truss framing plans using advanced CAD software.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales staff, external contractors, architects, and structural engineers to develop comprehensive truss submittal packages.
  • Work with third-party engineering firms to create custom truss bracing plans and connection details, ensuring safe and structurally sound installations.
  • Generate bills of materials and manage purchase orders while providing crucial support during the installation process.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and/or hands-on field experience.
  • Strong math skills with a basic understanding of engineering and physics.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on precision in project management and documentation.
