Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform evaluations for patients requiring rehabilitation support
  • Deliver direct care to assess medical conditions, functional abilities, and rehabilitation potential
  • Design and implement treatment plans in accordance with physician recommendations
  • Set achievable recovery objectives for patients
  • Accurately document patient progress and health status
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding effective therapy techniques
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-focused care
  • Fulfill assigned responsibilities as directed by the Rehabilitation Director
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Possession of a valid professional license and registration in the state of VA
  • Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric settings is preferred
