CNC Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Chamberlain Machine. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating CNC lathes and mills. You will also be responsible for identifying and executing improvement opportunities in programming, manufacturing methods, tooling, and fixturing.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including machine setup, tool setting, work holding, and machine operation. You will also have extensive familiarity with FANUC controls and Mastercam or comparable CAM software.

Responsibilities include:

• Setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machines
• Identification and execution of improvement opportunities
• Collaboration with other team members on manufacturing capabilities and production schedules
• Assistance with inspection and validation using basic inspection equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive familiarity with FANUC controls and Mastercam or comparable CAM software
• Strong knowledge of tooling selection and inspection of high-value precision parts
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Strong math skills and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints, 3D models
