Compensation: Competitive wage range of $90,000-$135,000

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing precast structures and managing all project aspects to ensure successful and safe outcomes. This role includes providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Professional Engineering licensure.
  • Offer effective coaching and mentorship to entry-level and junior engineers.
  • Review calculations and drawings to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure safe structures, quality products, and customer satisfaction.
  • Interpret architectural and structural plans while performing necessary calculations for structural integrity.
  • Lead a project design team, ensuring accountability for project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify potential project schedule and quality issues, proposing solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Seek guidance from peers for unfamiliar designs and responsibilities to achieve optimal solutions.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and owners as necessary.
  • Provide engineering support to sales staff for prospective projects.
  • Conduct site visits to manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required.
  • Address concerns and issues throughout all project phases.
  • Make timely, informed decisions based on project needs.
  • Prepare corrective actions for any project errors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Engineering Licensure is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or a comparable ABET-accredited degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in precast design is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the drive to complete tasks.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for typing and using office equipment.
  • Visual acuity for reading detailed documents.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
  • Mobility to navigate the office as needed.
