The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to care for patients within an assigned unit. This role requires the ability to coordinate care provided throughout the hospital and cooperate with other members of the healthcare team in meeting total patient needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care.
2. Coordinates care provided throughout the hospital, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication among healthcare team members.
3. Participates in patient education, directing and assisting in activities of ancillary personnel as needed.
4. Maintains current licensure to practice registered nursing in the State of California and completes required certifications, such as AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS, within the specified timeframe.
Requirements:
1. Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred, with successful completion of orientation and training to the point of competence.
2. Must have current licensure to practice registered nursing in the State of California.
3. Current AHA BLS required upon hire, with ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification as required by Department.
