Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' wound-related conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide wound care services, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound cleansing.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care techniques and technologies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound care and management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of wound care policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college program in Physical Therapy or Nursing.
- New York State license or eligibility for Physical Therapy or Registered Nurse license.
- Successful completion of orientation program according to department guidelines.
- Ability to interact with others constructively and promote quality in-services to staff.
- Ability to interact with and treat adults and seniors, and open to treating infants, children, and adolescents as requested within professional ability level.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
