Job Summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Position patients on the MRI scanning cradle to obtain desired anatomic positions
  • Input patient information and select scan parameters for specific exams
  • Perform quality assurance tests as specified by department protocol
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Participate in the education and training of new staff members
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry (MR)
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute
  • 1 year of experience in an MRI department in a hospital setting
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The MRI Technologist may be exposed to high noise levels, bright lights, and limited hazardous substances or body fluids. The position also requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
