Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead ED to join our Emergency Department Support Services team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a Team Lead ED, you will be responsible for providing shift leadership and supervision to our Support Associates and Patient Transporters, ensuring the smooth operation of our department and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide shift leadership and supervision to Support Associates and Patient Transporters
  • Monitor and manage supply and equipment inventory, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order
  • Assist in the coordination of patient transport and ensure that patients are transported safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify and resolve supply and equipment issues
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on specialty carts and equipment to ensure that they are properly stocked and maintained
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels and supply usage
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience in a similar clinical setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical supplies and equipment
