Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in our long-term care facilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Floor Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.

You will also operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently, maintain records of floor care activities, and report any maintenance or safety issues to your supervisor. Additionally, you will follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices
  • Operate floor care equipment, such as buffers and extractors
  • Maintain accurate records of floor care activities and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies
  • Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous floor care experience is preferred but not required
  • Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
  • Able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
