Job Summary

The Environmental Services Porter/Floor Care Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role involves cleaning services, including floor care, and ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

* Clean and maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the storage of cleaning supplies and equipment* Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained, including resident rooms, common areas, and hallways* Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor* Participate in fire and disaster drills and follow emergency procedures as needed* Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protect resident rights* Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive work environment* Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required* Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
