Job Title: Nursing Home Administrator
About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced LPN to fill the role of Nursing Home Administrator, where you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. As a Medication Manager, you will be responsible for administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner, while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with our care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management:
- Administer medication and treatments in accordance with resident care plans and regulations.
- Document and record medication administration, including any refusals or missed doses.
- Maintain accurate records of medication usage and restock medication carts as needed.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Supervise and direct nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver exceptional care.
- Work closely with the Resident Care Director (RCD) and Wellness Nurse to ensure timely and effective medication management.
- Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and address any concerns.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of medication management practices.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to react calmly and make decisions in difficult situations.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off (PTO), sick time, and holiday pay.
