Bookseller - Full-Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bookseller to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment, and promoting a love of reading.

• Engage with customers, share knowledge of books, and make recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Ensure a vibrant bookstore through effective execution of bookstore basics, including presentation, commerciality, and section detail.
• Leverage key campaigns to hand-sell and engage with customers, promoting a sense of community and shared passion for reading.
• Stay up-to-date on books and industry trends, supporting the store with this knowledge to provide customers with a great experience.
• Identify key titles and communicate with the store team to tailor merchandise selection to reflect the community's interests.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, creating displays and ensuring the bookstore is always shoppable and inviting.
• Support events and community outreach initiatives, promoting a sense of connection and shared purpose.
• Protect company assets by adhering to processes controlling shrink, expense, and payroll.
• Model expected behaviors, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
