Position Overview:
The Nurse Extern I role is designed for nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited RN program. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern I engages in various direct patient care tasks in alignment with the established protocols of the Nursing Department. This position is crucial for supporting the care of patients within the hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Participate in the daily activities of the nursing team, contributing to the overall patient experience.
- Perform basic nursing duties in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in an accredited professional nursing program, aiming for either an associate or bachelor's degree.
- Completion of initial clinical rotations with a satisfactory standing in the nursing curriculum.
- Demonstrated proficiency in fundamental nursing skills.
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in AHA BLS is required within two weeks of starting the position.

To be determined based on departmental needs.
Employment Type:
Per Diem, as needed.
