Job Title: River Pool Lifeguards

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified lifeguard to join our team at Kingsmill Resort. As a River Pool Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and members in the outdoor pool area.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all pool activities and maintain order in a courteous manner.
  • Provide a safe and relaxing atmosphere for guests and members.
  • Check identification of pool guests to ensure they are guests or members.
  • Respond to emergency situations and save pool guests in the event of a drowning issue or other emergency.
  • Assist the supervisor in evacuating the pool area in the event of lightning and follow company procedures for evacuation and reentry.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pool by vacuuming and skimming each morning and throughout the shift as needed.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the pool area, including maintaining locker rooms, cleaning tables and chairs, and emptying trash.
  • Assist sports staff with pool activities and special events for guests and members.
  • Maintain upkeep of rescue equipment and first aid kits, including restocking and informing the supervisor when stock is low.
Qualifications:
  • Lifeguard Certification, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs. for rescue needs.
  • Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to sunlight.
  • Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policies.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations and make decisions quickly.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
