Position Overview: Endoscopy Technician
We are looking for a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to become part of our esteemed team at the University Medical Center of El Paso. This role involves supporting a range of endoscopic procedures for patients across various age groups. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, ensuring that all endoscopy equipment is properly set up and maintained, while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic instruments and equipment for various procedures.
- Assist medical professionals during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
- Provide technical assistance for a variety of advanced endoscopic techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the endoscopy unit.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Current CPR Certification.
- High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
