Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Edge Electric is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate takeoffs and preparing bids for large commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret job plans and specifications to develop complete and accurate takeoffs
  • Write detailed proposals for bid submission
  • Clarify Bid Documents and prepare RFIs
  • Provide post-bid follow-up on projects to negotiate scope and pricing with clients
  • Work with Vendors to ensure multiple bids in each area of the requested material
  • Interact with Construction Team throughout the project as needed
  • Effectively create, manage, and track change orders
  • Keep well-organized Bid Documents at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Electrical Estimating
  • Proficient reading Plans & Specs
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and ConEst Estimating Software
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers
