Position Overview

As a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor for the second shift, you will take charge of a team of non-exempt personnel within CVS Health's advanced distribution facility. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and overseeing the daily operations of your assigned shift and area to meet performance objectives and metrics. Key duties include order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders, while ensuring high productivity and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and delegating tasks to new employees.
  • Ensuring that team members have the necessary tools, materials, and documentation to successfully complete their assignments.
  • Monitoring and reallocating resources to meet daily production and delivery targets.
  • Balancing workloads by assessing progress throughout the day to achieve timely completion of tasks.
  • Evaluating employee performance to ensure quality and quantity standards are consistently met or surpassed.
  • Conducting team meetings and ensuring daily reports are accurately completed and submitted promptly.
  • Providing continuous training and retraining to ensure employees meet or exceed productivity benchmarks.
  • Utilizing various reports and procedures to forecast workload and address issues that arise during operations.
  • Facilitating effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Analyzing data to make informed business decisions.
  • Building high-performance teams while motivating and inspiring colleagues.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment. Availability for second shift work, Monday through Friday, is essential, with additional flexibility during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Center.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this position is between $43,000 and $76,500 annually. This range represents the base hourly rate or annual salary for all roles within the job grade associated with this position. Actual salary offers will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and geographic location. This role is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentive programs in addition to the base pay range.
