Position Summary:
We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates.
The LPN will assist in preparing for and executing surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and efficient workflow. This role involves:
- Preparation for surgeon-specific operative procedures that are timely and effective.
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to optimize patient flow and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: College Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing.
- CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Illinois upon hire.
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking), basic computer skills, and critical thinking abilities.
Essential Functions:
The LPN will be responsible for:
- Setting up and maintaining a sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Assisting in various surgical roles, including first scrub and first assist.
- Managing surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
- Completing lab requisitions and ensuring timely specimen transfer.
- Providing mentorship to peers and students during surgical events.
