About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to join our team at the Goodyear healthcare center onsite pharmacy in Lawton, OK.

This is a unique opportunity for a pharmacist with a retail pharmacy background and an active OK pharmacist license to work in an integrated model, collaborating with providers and clinic staff to provide team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component.

As a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for performing all dispensing duties, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing, and adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all dispensing duties, including dispensing medications and providing patient counseling.
  • Expand and enhance clinical services in the ambulatory care setting, including medication therapy management (MTM).
  • Precept pharmacy students and residents, and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Pharm. D. from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure.
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in Oklahoma.
  • One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
