Healthcare Access Registration Specialist

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Patient Access Registration Specialist to join our team at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for coordinating patient encounters, identifying patient financial responsibility, and collecting copays and deductibles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient encounters using multiple system applications
- Identify patient financial responsibility and collect copays and deductibles
- Coordinate self-pay patient flow to Financial Counselor or program eligibility vendor
- Review input and audit quality to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the position
- Demonstrate complete understanding and ability to apply registration policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in acute care, medical office or insurance required
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations required
- Excellent computer skills required
