Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Container Delivery Driver to join our team at Waste Connections. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely delivering waste containers to customers while providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Container Delivery: Safely operate a company non-CDL truck to deliver containers to a variety of locations, including residential, commercial, and construction sites.
  • Equipment Operation: Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load dumpsters on and off the truck.
  • Load Security: Ensure all loads are properly secured, including covering and tarping containers, and accounting for weight shifts before departing.
  • Container Cleaning: Utilize a commercial pressure washer to clean returned containers from customers.
  • Route Management: Read and follow route sheets assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact courteously with customers and provide excellent service.
Work Environment

As a Container Delivery Driver, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to physical risks, including moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. You will be required to work in all environments, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.

Requirements
  • Age and Driving Record: Must be at least 18 years old with a satisfactory driving record.
  • CDL: Class A or B CDL is preferred, but not required. Must be interested in obtaining a CDL.
  • Availability: Ability to work Monday through Saturday.
  • Physical Demands: Physically comfortable with the demands of the job, including extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, and pushing or pulling objects over 75 pounds.
