Position Summary:
This role is essential for overseeing the month-end closing process, managing audit inquiries, maintaining accurate accounting records, and performing transaction reconciliations. The individual will also analyze invoices and expense reports, assist with invoice processing, and undertake various accounting tasks as needed. The position demands strong multitasking abilities, independence, and teamwork, while consistently meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate documentation of daily financial transactions and maintain a comprehensive filing system to support financial records.
- Month-End Closing: Engage in the month-end closing process and assist with audits.
- Financial Transactions: Prepare checks, process payments, and conduct reconciliations for bank deposits, credit cards, and cash deposits.
- Verification: Review and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, and employee expense reports, and assist with payroll as necessary.
- Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Systems, Budgeting, Reporting, Data Analysis, Auditing, Taxation, and Month-End Closing.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Business Experience:
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (both verbal and written) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Specialized Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Office Technology (QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, and business applications).
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Bank of America CashPro is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work extended hours to meet departmental demands and deadlines.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Competence in interpreting various business documents and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and projects.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve goals within set timeframes.
- Problem-solving skills to address practical challenges in diverse situations.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based, requiring frequent use of a computer and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity and attention to detail are essential for analyzing and preparing reports.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move office equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional need to work beyond standard hours.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
