Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cashier Team Member to join our team at River Gaming Enterprises, LLC. As a Cage Cashier Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately redeeming and processing various cash instruments for both internal and external guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify funds as required while in assigned duty.
  • Perform duties as required for each position, including promoting and providing excellent guest service experiences.
  • Comply with enterprise and departmental policies and procedures, protocols including strict key control, safety regulations, uniform requirements, cash and/or coin handling, and other operating procedures.
  • Accurately perform and maintain accountability of all transactions conducted with corresponding paperwork and take responsibility of any resulting overages and/or shortages.
  • Count down banks accurately.
  • Perform vault duties, including conducting shift buys/rolling bank issuance, returns, and preparation for cashiers.
  • Verify cash/chips at the completion of counts.
  • Prepare and verify all tip tax deposits.
  • Perform cash strap (100 bill quantities) verifications and countdowns at the beginning of work shift and during work shift.
  • Perform repetitive and accurate cash-on-hand verifications.
  • Perform accurate data input and error corrections into computer logs.
  • Safeguard casino bankroll and maintain an accurate accountability of all funds in the vault.
  • Conduct mobile cart/pouch issuance and returns for slots.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits, including checks, traveler's checks, cash, and coin.
  • Receive bank shipments and ensure all funds received are verified.
  • Verify and secure unclaimed JP/promotions, found tickets, cash, cash advance, and check cashing receipts, redeemed scrips, and promotional coupons/vouchers.
  • Ensure currency/coin levels are maintained to operate the site.
  • Verify documents and paperwork from cashier to ensure completion correctly.
  • Fill Gaming and Jackpot kiosk cassettes.
  • Receive and/or disperse tournament entry fees.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience as a cashier handling large volumes of currency or other negotiable instruments preferred.
  • Ability to perform the GILA WAY, which includes greeting guests, interacting positively with guests, listening actively to guests, and appreciating guests.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
