Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Teacher to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters children's learning and development.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the DOE Creative Curriculum, ensuring a rich and diverse learning experience for students.
  • Plan and conduct classroom activities that cater to different learning styles and promote social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.
  • Observe children's behaviors and interactions, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential educational records for each student, documenting progress and achievements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, engaging them in their children's education and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree and NYS Teaching Certification
  • Minimum of two years of exemplary experience in an Early Childhood Setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles, including typical and atypical language, cognitive, motor, social, and self-help skills development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
