Position Overview:

The Cashier plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service by embodying the principles of the "Water Street Way." This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate any restaurant-related concerns to the Front of House Manager for discussion in weekly meetings.
  • Achieve or surpass the cleanliness, product quality, and guest satisfaction standards set by the "Water Street Way."
  • Implement and maintain all operational systems and documentation for the Cashier and related functions.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members as a Certified Trainer.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all required certifications, including a valid Nueces County Food Handler's Permit, are up to date.

Performance Standards:
  • Maintain a score of 90% or higher on Health Department inspections.
  • Achieve a score of 90% or better on all mystery shopper evaluations.
  • Adhere to the dress code requirements for the Cashier role.

Companywide Expectations:
  • Document all routine tasks in an operational manual, which is proprietary to the company.
  • Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, standards, and employee manuals.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and company information.
  • Support colleagues as needed and respect each other's workspace and focus.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings with management and annual performance evaluations.
  • Contribute ideas for departmental improvements.
  • Meet age requirements for specific roles as outlined by company policy.
  • Be available for shifts as scheduled by management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a neat appearance, including hair length as per company standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a clean workspace.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items weighing between 10 and 100 pounds.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Utilize hands and fingers effectively for various job-related tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate effectively in a busy environment.
  • Work in a moderate to high noise level setting.
