Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: The Critical Care Nurse delivers age-appropriate care based on the individual needs of patients, considering their physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning requirements. The nurse may rotate to different areas and will perform only those duties for which they have demonstrated competency.
Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
B. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
C. Experience: 1 to 2 years of acute care or specialty nursing experience is preferred.
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational skills, safe and appropriate patient care within nursing standards, sound judgment, and effective communication skills.
